As mentioned, Screenly integrates with everything. That being said, there are a variety of integration types that are possible with Screenly.
First, the Screenly and Zapier integration allows users to use Zapier's point-and-click interface to set up integrations with thousands of popular business tools. Users can set up Zapier triggers and actions that decide when content plays and what that content is.
Another type of Screenly integration is integrations that work inside that Screenly interface and act as another layer of our software functionality. For example, with our PagerDuty integration, users can get alerts when screens need troubleshooting. Also, with our Slack integration, teams can receive updates on their account activity within the Slack channels. These integrations do not influence the content on the company's digital signs, but they are integrations nonetheless.

Our next set of integrations are Screenly Edge Apps, which involve custom digital signage applications that run directly on the device. Screenly Edge Apps allow developers to write applications using the Screenly API and then have those applications operate locally. Running these applications locally enables near-zero lag time and the incorporation of on-device sensor data.
We have several prebuilt Screenly Edge Apps, which you can find in the Screenly Edge App Store, but this is not an exhaustive list of all possible Screenly Edge Apps. Current Screenly Edge App built-out apps include:
All Screenly Edge Apps are open source, and users can customize these applications line-by-line at the code level. Additionally, developers can use the Screenly Edge App framework to build custom digital signage applications entirely from scratch.
While Screenly Edge Apps use the Screenly API, you can also use the Screenly API independently. It's possible to use the Screenly API to build software integrations that interact with our digital signage software and do not run on the digital signage player device itself.
A major category of digital signage integrations includes simply authenticating digital signage players with third-party apps. Screenly makes it easy for your digital signs to log in to any third-party software, maintain that login session, and keep your credentials secure.
Authentication is most often important when it comes to displaying live web page data on a digital sign. Bypassing authentication by sharing a public link is often not ideal, as these public links may contain sensitive business KPIs and data that should not be floating around unsecured. With authentication for digital signage, teams can display live web pages via URL but keep those web pages password-protected.

Another set of integrations includes Screenly Tutorials. Screenly Tutorials are best suited for software tools that do not require a direct integration, but may require a few steps to set up. Most of these scenarios take the shape of how to navigate third-party software in order to get a property formatted share link. The user can then add this share link to their Screenly account and display it on their digital signs.
